What are the benefits?
Once on Chum Chow’s raw diet, pets will appreciate a properly
functioning digestive system. You
will notice:
1. Shinier fur coat
2. Decreased plaque on teeth
3. Reduced “animal” odour from breath, body and excrement
4.These benefits
to your pet bring with them the advantages of fewer smelly messes to clean up, a decreased need for weekly shampoos, and even lower
vet bills. As with humans, a proper diet for your animal companion will aid in the prevention of many health issues.
How
much should I feed my pet?
The amount required will depend on the age, activity level and metabolism of your cat or dog. Approximate
guidelines for an average dog is 1/2 lb per 25 lbs of dog, daily.
Why does it seem like my dog is not drinking as much water?
Although
a lower sodium intake is part of the reason dogs on a CHUM CHOW diet drink less water, the real reason is that raw food has not had
the water removed like kibble has. It takes a lot of water to re-hydrate those little nuggets!
Why does my dog's excrement look
and smell different?
Natural dog poo is mostly white powdered bone and about 1/3 the volume of the artificial stuff. The foul
excrement on the soles of our shoes is indigestible cereal and bacteria, the end result of unnatural feeding. Natural kitty poo turns
white as well, and does not smell nearly as bad which is great for those who deal with cleaning the litter box!
